Details

German painter and draughtsman, a student of Wilhelm von Schadow. In 1814, he was in military service; he travelled Austria and Northern Italy. He was patronised by Count Radziwill and participated to the latter's edition of illustrations to Goethe)'s Faust I. He was drowned in the Loisach river near Wolfratshausen. //
