Details

Italian medalist. He is possibly identical with an artist named Bartolino Topino, called the Philosopher. Little is known about his life and career except that he worked for the Gonzaga court in Mantua and was a pupil of Andrea Mantegna. Talpa made only two medals, one of Federigo I Gonzaga and one of his son Francesco II. //
