Italian painter, born in Verona, active mainly in central and southern Italy. Documents concerning his biography are rare, the dates of his birth and death are unknown, but the signatures of his works confirm his origin of Verona. A document from 1499 signals his presence in Campania at the court of the Duchess Lucrezia del Balzo and at the church of San Giovanni a Carbonara in Naples. His activity in the central-southern part of Italy brought him into contact with Antoniazzo Romano and Melozzo da Forli whose works strongly influenced his style, as shown by the Virgin and Child with Saints (Cini Foundation, Venice) and the Annunciations from Fondi and Nola (both in Museo Diocesano, Nola). //
